A Jewish divorce document, known as a get, is important to arrange as soon as a civil divorce is finalized. Rabbi Jon works with the Joint Bet Din of the Rabbinical Assembly to make sure the Jewish divorce is arranged in a way that will be recognized in other Jewish communities.
The rabbi is also a resource to both members of the divorcing couple, to talk confidentially and to connect each one to support and counseling each one might need or desire. When both spouses in a divorce talk with the rabbi, the conversations with each of them are strictly confidential, unless one person explicitly permits the rabbi to share something with the other.
